Why is my zucchini bread so dry?

Why is my zucchini bread so dry?

Your zucchini bread may have turned out dry for several reasons:

  • Overbaking: If you baked your bread for an excessively long time, it might have dried out. Make sure to check your bread frequently with a toothpick to see whether it's done to avoid this.
  • Too little liquid: Your bread can be dry if you didn't add enough liquid to the recipe. Make sure you used the right amount of liquid by checking twice, and if you're still unsure, try adding a bit more the following time.
  • Too much flour: Too much flour could make your bread dry. Make careful to measure your components precisely, and for added accuracy, think about using a kitchen scale.
  • Zucchini is what gives bread its wetness, so if you didn't use enough, your bread can come out dry. Make sure you use the specified quantity of zucchini in the recipe.
  • Using stale zucchini: Stale or dry zucchini can not give the bread enough moisture. Instead, consider using fresh zucchini.
