Butter, egg yolks, lemon juice, and seasonings are the ingredients for the traditional French sauce known as hollandaise. Here is a basic Hollandaise sauce recipe:

Ingredients;

  • four egg yolks
  • Lemon juice, two tablespoons
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 cup
  • To taste, add salt and cayenne pepper.

Instruction;

  • A few inches of water should be added to a pot and brought to a simmer.
  • The egg yolks and lemon juice should be whipped together in a heat-resistant bowl.
  • Place the bowl over the simmering water, taking care to keep the bowl's bottom away from the water, and whisk the mixture for 3-5 minutes, or until it thickens and turns pale.
  • Once the sauce is smooth and emulsified, remove the bowl from the heat and gradually whisk in the melted butter.
  • Add cayenne pepper and salt to taste.
  • By whisking in a little warm water, you can thin out the sauce if it gets too thick.
  •  Either serve right away or keep it warm in a double boiler or thermos.
Note: Hollandaise sauce must be drunk immediately drunk right away because it contains raw eggs. It is not advised to store food in the refrigerator for subsequent consumption.
